Alejandro Pintado

La obra de Alejandro Pintado constantemente explora la yuxtaposición de conceptos, la superposición de elementos cromáticos y los distintos planos artísticos. Trabajando con referencias históricas, la obra de Pintado crea estructuras aledañas tridimensionales, pinturas paralelas y reflejos en espejos que funcionan como intervenciones en torno a distintos paisajes del arte clásico.

Estudió la licenciatura de Pintura en la Escuela Nacional de Pintura Escultura y Grabado la Esmeralda (1994-1999) y la maestría de Bellas Artes en Goldsmiths College de la Universidad de Londres (2000­-2001). Le han sido otorgados varios reconocimientos tanto internacionales como nacionales tales como el premio Centenario de la feria MACO (2012), la beca del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte, Fonca (2010-­2013 ), la beca apoyo de publicaciones de la fundación Bancomer BBVA (2012), la Beca de la Fundación Pollock-Krasner de Nueva York (2007) y el premio especial de Arte Laguna en Venecia, Italia (2010).  Alejandro Pintado recientemente publicó el libro Trayectoria del conocimiento el cual presentó en el Museo Tamayo de la Ciudad de México, Washington DC, Copenague, Nueva York y Londres.
